The Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing investigates the underlying process of Ageing with the long-term goal to pave the way towards healthier and longer lifespans in humans. It is an institute within the Max Planck Society, which is Germany’s most successful basic research organisation.

19:00 -22:30 Evening Networking Reception with Buffet-style Dinner at the Gürzenich Köln, Martinstraße 29 - 37, 50667  Cologne, COLOGNE’S FRONT PARLOR. The Gürzenich, a popular and traditional Cologne venue, has a history of over 550 years. Built by the City Council as a civic ballroom and market hall between 1441 and 1447, the Gürzenich served has served as a cultural center for carnival and musical events for centuries, providing the foundation tor Cologne’s international reputation as a music city. Largely preserving and conserving the substance of the historic monument, the Gürzenich was restored in 1996–97 and today is an exciting venue for social and cultural events.

The Palladium is part of a Cologne event center established in the 1990s, comprising the E-Werk venue established by the famous German band BAP, and the Palladium, a transformed 100-year-old mechanical engineering building. Together the charming architecture combined with modern technology make this a versatile event venue with a unique atmosphere.
